Electric vehicles have been embraced as an important solution towards zero-emission transport and cleaner air, but their success depends on a mature ecosystem of electric vehicles, a charging infrastructure and a good integration with the electricity sector. Interoperability, the capacity of systems and the underlying business processes to exchange data and to share information and knowledge, is essential in this context.
