Session 5: Electric mobility in Africa and Asia
Africa and Asia are moving forward in a steady path looking into a 100% electrific mobility. How are these regions pursuing the zero-emission transport goal? What can we learn and apply from other regions to foster electrification and maximize its benefits in the Caribbean? In this session, David Rubia, from UNEPs global office will talk about electrification strategies and projects in Africa and Asia.
Rubia is Programme Officer within the Air Quality and Mobility Unit of the Economy Division working on a global programme that is supporting the transition from internal combustion engines based transport systems to electric mobility.
